212 Week Class Challenge Results: Which Class Pedaled Their Way to Victory?

TLDR

During 212 Week, today’s challenge was max bike calories.

  • 7am won total calories (2,202) → 25 points
  • 5pm won highest calories per participant (118) → 15 points
More importantly, this challenge highlighted consistency, effort, and the power of our Millcreek fitness community.

What Was the 212 Week Bike Challenge?

Every year, 212 Week is our way of celebrating the culture that makes 212 Fitness different.

This year’s Monday class challenge was simple by design:

  • Riders had 15 minutes on the bike
  • Goal: burn as many calories as possible
  • Results were tracked two ways:
    • Total class calories
    • Average calories per participant

No complicated rules.
No fancy scoring.
Just effort, teamwork, and a little competitive fun.

Why We Love Challenges Like This

We coach adults—many over 45 and 50+—and we’re intentional about how we program challenges.

This wasn’t about being the “fittest” class. It was about:

  • Showing up
  • Supporting your classmates
  • Giving a strong, honest effort for a short window of time

That’s functional fitness in real life.

You don’t need an hour.
You don’t need perfection.
You need focused effort—even if it’s just 15 minutes.

What This Challenge Really Shows About Fitness

Class challenges are fun—but they’re not the real takeaway.

Here’s what stood out to us as coaches:

  • Short efforts still matter
  • Consistency beats intensity over time
  • Community makes hard things feel doable

Many of our members are balancing work, family, stress, and changing bodies. A 15-minute push like this reinforces an important truth:

You’re capable of more than you think—especially with support.

That’s why functional strength training, personal training, and small-group strength training work so well for adults in Millcreek and Salt Lake City. They meet you where you are and build from there.
